Dr. Nasser Razek
After a teaching career of more than twelve years in educator preparation programs at the University of Dayton and The University of Akron, Dr. Nasser Razek decided to join us @ UCS as the principal. With a vision for growth and excellence for UCS, his goals for the school are to reach a reputable level of student achievement not only in academics but also as successful Muslim leaders who are proud of their identity and religion with a full command of Arabic language. He also believes in the essential partnership between the school and the families to empower UCS students as they develop towards their thriving careers.
Dr. Razek had extensive experience as a teacher, teacher trainer, and educational administrator. He studied Educational Planning, Administration, and Leadership at several universities including, St. John’s University, University of California, Penn State University, and the University of Akron. While being a Fulbright scholar of the Hubert Humphrey program for educational planning and management, he reviewed educational programs’ achievement gaps for the United Nations Children’s Fund. Throughout his years in Ohio, he has been involved with Islamic schools in several academic and administrative roles.
Nora Gothamy
Nora Gothamy has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Oakland University and a post-bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Michigan. She also received her teaching certification from the University of Michigan in 2011. Her love of learning and teaching prompted her work in microbiological research, freelance writing, and in the field of education at large. She has taught students from ages 3-21 years old in various capacities over 10 years, and worked as an administrator for 4 years.
Mrs. Gothamy also enjoys being active in her communities, and has worked for decades as a Sunday School teacher, camp councilor, halaqa leader, Summer camp administrator, outreach member and volunteer in several other capacities. Nora Gothamy is a mother of two and proud to use her knowledge and skills to benefit the Muslim community, and help cultivate strong, educated and moral leaders of future generations.
Yasmeen Farhan
Asalamualikum,
My name is Yasmeen Farhan , I was born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then I moved with my husband and three children to the United States of America 2016.
I live with my husband and three children and working as a teacher in kindergarten for more than nine years and I got a certificate for the care and education of children, and I also work on teaching the Holy Quran and Arabic language at the weekend school of the Alomary Mosque.
I like to work with children and establish them on the Islamic curriculum with all my energy. Alhamdulillah I was accepted to be with AIM School team . I will provide all my energy, knowledge for our children insha’Allah
Sumayya Zraiqat
Assalmu Alaikum, My name is Sumaya Zraiqat. I was born and raised in Amman, Jordan, and moved to the United States in 2001; I live in Ohio in North Ridgeville. I am a mother of three children. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in early childhood education. I have worked with children and families in our local community for over nine years. I started my career working with three year old’s and have gained experience in the passing years with all Early Childhood Education age groups in various program structures, including special needs. Also, I have been an Islamic study teacher at Al -Alhsan weekend School for almost seven years.
My Educational Philosophy
Every child is unique and deserves a caring, inspiring, and engaging atmosphere to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. As an educator, I want to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing a safe, risk-taking, and collaborative environment. I want our students to develop positive character and leadership traits which are essential to becoming a productive citizen. I believe a positive elementary education is critical to creating successful lifelong learners.

Amani Hamdallah
Asalam Wa Alykom. My name is Amani Hamdallah. It’s an honor from Allah that I have been chosen to be part of the UCS Team. I was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Cleveland 10 years ago. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Oakland University and went on to receive a master’s in science management from Walsh Business School. I have over ten years of experience in Banking and transitioned into the educational field in the last ten years.
I am a mother of 4 children. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering in the community, reading, gardening, and taking classes in Quran and Islamic Studies. I look forward to working with the parents and students and being part of their educational journey.
Kawthar Amin
I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s third-grade teacher at the brand-new Ummah Center School. My name is Kawthar Amin, and I am honored to be part of this wonderful educational journey alongside your children.
Education has always been my passion, and I bring a diverse range of experiences to the classroom. I hold degrees in Mass Communication and Psychology, which have equipped me with a unique understanding of effective communication and the inner workings of young minds.
This multidisciplinary background enables me to create an engaging and well-rounded learning environment. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with gifted children, witnessing their incredible potential firsthand.
My experience as an Assistant English Professor has enabled me to develop instructional strategies that challenge and inspire these bright young minds. These experiences have shaped my teaching approach, allowing me to tailor lessons to each child’s individual abilities and foster their love for learning.
I firmly believe that education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunities for our children. I am dedicated to creating a classroom atmosphere that nurtures curiosity, promotes critical thinking, and instills a lifelong love for knowledge. My goal is to empower each student to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Hakima Boukhrissi
My name is Hakima Boukhrissi, and I have been teaching at Faith Islamic Academy for 7 years. I have taught grades 3 to 5 in Science and Math. Prior to my current position, I worked as a Substitute Teacher in the Copley school district, as well as a full-time teacher at St. Vincent St. Mary High School. I hold a degree in Physical Sciences and Chemistry, and I obtained my teaching license from Cleveland State University.
Teaching is my passion because it provides me with the opportunity to assist students in their learning journey as they explore exciting subjects that fuel their curiosity and help them gain a better understanding of the world around them. I firmly believe that every student possesses unique abilities and potentials, and by understanding their individual needs, interests, and how they interact with the world, we can design effective learning tools and activities that foster lifelong observation and analytical skills, as well as critical thinking abilities. These skills are essential for their growth as productive and well-rounded citizens.

My name is Nima Atallah; I am a Cleveland State English/Education and Anthropology bachelor’s degree graduate. I currently hold an active teaching license with the Department of Education in Ohio and received many awards to acknowledge my hard work in the teaching field these past years. I was born in Palestine but raised in both America and Palestine; it allowed me to learn the Arabic and English language Alhamdulillah. I am a mother and wife currently living in Parma Heights. I am honored to be part of the UCS school whose core values is to further our kids’ education islamically & academically while still building mental and physical health for our children. As a family, I hope we can work together to engage and shine our kids’ lights brighter and brighter.
Khitam Aldor
Assalamu Alaikum. My name is Khitam Aldor and I am honored to be a part of this team.
I am originally from Amman, Jordan but have lived here in Ohio for many years. I am also the mother of four children who are all fluent in the Arabic language and have memorized many Ajzaa’ from the Quran. I graduated from the Economy and Administrative of Business College and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the Business Management branch. I hold a Professional Master’s Degree in Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages from Leeds University, and am currently a PhD student in this area. Also, I hold a Diploma of Specialization in Teaching Arabic Language to Children, Teaching Arabic at International Schools Diploma, have completed the Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages American Fellowship Program, and hold an ICDL certificate for computer training.
My experience in different areas of work has gained me many special skills. This includes amazing communication skills with different ages. It also includes creativity, patience, and empathy. I decided to join UCS because I would love to be a part of an organization that takes care of our Muslim community, especially our kids.
Lina Aburaad
Assalmu Alaikum. Meet Mrs. Lina, a dedicated and experienced Arabic teacher with a passion for teaching and learning. She holds a Masters of Education from Cleveland State University and has been in the teaching profession for many years. When she’s not in the classroom, Lina loves to spend time with her family and friends, and enjoys organizing spontaneous trips to the lake and the Metro parks. As a proud mother of four , Lina knows the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Her students appreciate her enthusiasm and energy, making her classes both informative and fun.
Manal Moukdad
Assalmu alaikum. Manal Moukdad has an associates degree in art and family consumer science. She also obtained an Ijaza in tajweed from Quran Hayati Academy and a noorania certificate from Furqan group. She has experience teaching children Quran, noorania, and Islamic studies. In her free time she enjoys baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about instilling Islamic knowledge in the youth at AIM so they can become the next generation of Islamic leaders in their communities.
Haron Usman
Assalamualaikum. My name is Haron F. Usman. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at San Diego State University, and I did my Islamic Studies for six years in Madrasah Inaamiyah, Camperdown, South Africa. My journey of teaching Islam began in State Donovan Prison as a Muslim Chaplain assistant in San Diego, California back in 2009. Alhamdulillah, I’ve been teaching Qur’an, Tajweed, Islamic studies here in The Ummah Center since 2021.
