Our Mission

Ummah Center School (UCS) is a new non-profit, private school, opening in the fall of 2023 at the Ummah Center masjid in Columbia Station, OH. The Ummah Center School was established with the purpose of “Raising leaders of tomorrow by nurturing a unique islamic identity”.

Ummah Center School is a full-time academic and Islamic school, currently serving students from PreK-3 to 6th grade. Each year UCS will add a new grade level in order to continue serving students all the way to 12th grade.

About UCS

The idea to establish an Arabic/English bilingual school originated from a group of Cleveland Muslim families who shared a vision to provide their children with the best possible academic and Islamic education. 

They foresaw that attaining written and spoken fluency in classical Arabic at a very young age would enable their children to better understand their Islamic faith while excelling in academic sciences.

An elected Board of Directors who spearheaded the initiative found a warm and welcoming home for the school at the Ummah Center, a local Islamic community center whose leadership valued and supported the school’s philosophy and mission.

Our kids are starting to incorporate the Arabic language in everyday communication. Kids are more aware of the use of bismillah and alhamdullah. Kids are counting at home in Arabic voluntarily.
